BIRD WATCHING

Fenton Tower logo white

The Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick is located just 2 miles from Fenton Tower, offering a superb facility to not only learn about our seabirds and marine life, but also to watch them at close-proximity on state of the art remote-controlled cameras positioned on each of the 4 local islands in the Firth of Forth and controlled from the cosy surroundings of the centre itself.  The centre also offer boat trips around these breath-taking islands, taking in the iconic Bass Rock – home to one of the biggest Gannet colonies in the world, and Craigleith – the inspiration behind Robert Louis-Stevenson’s book, Treasure Island!  So whether you’re a budding ornithologist . . . or a swashbuckling romantic, our majestic coastline and the birds and seals that live there won't fail to inspire.
