Spring

Gullane Food and Drink Festival, Gullane – April

A quick 10-minute drive from Fenton Tower, the town of Gullane is a firm favourite among our visitors. Famous for its popular golf course, it’s also home to the Gullane Food and Drink Festival, which takes place in the spring.

The festival’s market is the perfect opportunity to taste the best of East Lothian’s culinary delights, bringing together artisans and producers from across the region. The festival also hosts demonstrations, workshops, tastings, and tours to give visitors a deeper insight into the local food and drink scene.

Fisherrow Harbour Festival, Musselburgh – May

Musselburgh’s Fisherrow Harbour Festival is another yearly favourite in East Lothian. The Festival is home to a popular DIY raft race, food trucks, and activities for the whole family. Musicians serenade visitors throughout the day as local businesses gather to sell their wares — all set against the breathtaking views of the Musselburgh coastline.

Genesis Scottish Open, North Berwick – July

Oktoberfest Raceday, Musselburgh – September

Experience the thrill of horse racing at Musselburgh Racecourse, the second-largest racecourse in Scotland. Musselburgh hosts events all year, but you can enjoy an extra special day at their Oktoberfest Raceday featuring the Musselburgh Gold Cup.

Oktoberfest Raceday has all the excitement of horseracing with the added fun of a traditional Bavarian party, oompah band, and a full day of Oktoberfest fun.

Lammermuir Festival, various venues – September
