Nestled in the rolling Scottish countryside, Fenton Tower is a 5-star graded fortified 16th-century tower. With far-reaching views over the Lammermuir Hills and stunning coastline just two miles away – not to mention our impeccable grounds – there is no shortage of wedding photography locations to take advantage of.
We are also just 20 minutes away from Edinburgh, making travel to your wedding easy for your local and international guests.
Intimate Elopements to Full-Scale Celebrations
Getting married in a castle doesn’t have to just exist in fairytales. When you choose Fenton Tower as your venue, it becomes your reality!
The benefit of an exclusive-use wedding venue is that you have full control over your day. Instead of enforcing minimum numbers, it is entirely up to you how many people you invite to celebrate your nuptials.
If an intimate soiree is more your style, your ceremony can take place in our Great Hall, followed by an elegant candlelit dinner and reception in our beautiful vaulted dining room. In the colder weather, the fire will be roaring as you make your vows, creating a truly romantic atmosphere. This style of wedding can be arranged for up to 32 guests, and up to a maximum of 50 guests for the evening.
For those interested in a larger wedding, our exclusive marquee hire partners are Arc Marquees and Myreton Marquees. They will be delighted to provide an all-weather purpose-built marquee so you can let your hair down and celebrate on our stunning grounds.
We host all types of ceremonies, including civil ceremonies and same-sex weddings. Every love story is welcome to start a new chapter here with us.
Luxury Accommodation
Your wedding day is the best day of your life – and also one of the busiest!
If you’re planning a small wedding, you can combine it into a getaway with your loved ones too! Across our accommodation options, a total of 21 guests can stay on our grounds.
Fenton Tower mixes historic grandeur with modern facilities, creating lodgings that provide everything you could wish for during a romantic stay.
The tower itself has seven luxury bedrooms, sleeping up to a total of 13 guests. Each has its own charm, and you have full control over which you claim as the honeymoon suite.
We also have two well-appointed accessible cottages on our grounds, each of which can sleep up to four guests.

We are very particular about the wedding suppliers we work with, to ensure we can provide the best possible experience for every couple who walks through our doors.
Almost as important as the wedding itself is, of course, the food. We partner exclusively with The Edinburgh Catering Company to provide your wedding breakfast. Your wedding menu will be entirely tailored to your tastes, but a delectable multi-course banquet comes as a guarantee.
Plus, as the exclusive caterer to all events at Fenton Tower, The Edinburgh Catering company can also arrange a rehearsal dinner, picnics, and champagne brunches. Just tell us what you want, and we can turn your wedding into a multi-day culinary experience!
Of course, no wedding is complete without a delicious cake. Our partner Liggys Cakes offers a variety of ready-to-order wedding cakes on their website, alongside custom cakes. They can also make a delicious custom favour for each of your guests.
Your flowers can help set the tone of your wedding, and Lottie Longman is our florist of choice. Their expert team will work closely with you to create the arrangements of your dreams far beyond the traditional bouquet – flower crowns and dog collars can also be designed!
